My name is Antonio Coelho, I'm from Portugal and I love photography. I live in a small village, Recarei, near Oporto, in north of Portugal.
In fact, my main profession is as an electrical engineer. I started shooting in 2010 after a honeymoon trip to Cuba. From 2010 to 2014 I photographed essentially in analog format using old cameras. At the end of 2014 I bought my first DSLR and from then on I have developed several styles of photography, with special interest in architecture, conceptual, fine art, still life among others. I have won some competitions at national and international level.
Photography has become an integral part of my life and the growing knowledge and dissemination of my work has raised my interest in this activity.
I try to approach normal everyday themes in a funny and entertaining way, I use essentially simple and attractive materials to the viewer, because I think that simplicity and color are fundamental to create interest for those who see an image, or set of images.
When I travel, I photograph a lot and try to work on the images to create works of fine art that people admire. Photography nowadays goes further than a simple click on the camera. It starts at the photographer's head, records by the camera and is performed in the software (the current dark room of the revelation).
As a result of some victories in contests, he was one of the guests of the Xposure festival in the United Arab Emirates in 2020 (which, due to the pandemic, was overturned for 2021).
I currently have some series of images published in the national press in newspapers and also with visibility outside the country.
